Ingredients

Apple Filling

    • 2 EverCrisp® apples, chopped
    • 2 Tbsp unsalted butter
    • ½ cup brown sugar
    • ½ tsp salt

Croissant Custard

      Directions

        1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease 8 ramekins.
        2. Chop the apples into small pieces.
        3. In a saucepan, melt the butter, then add apples, brown sugar, and salt. Cook over medium heat until the apples soften and the sugar forms a syrup. Set aside to cool.
        4. In a medium bowl whisk together the milk, heavy cream, eggs, vanilla, salt, cinnamon, and sugar until well combined.
        5. Slice the croissants into 1 inch cubes and place in a large bowl.
        6. Pour the custard mixture over the croissants and let them soak for 30 minutes.
        7. Chop the chocolate bars into small pieces.
        8. Add the apples and chocolate to the croissant mixture and gently fold until combined.
        9. Divide the mixture evenly into the prepared ramekins, filling each to the top.
        10. Bake for 30-35 minutes, until set and golden.
        11. Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream. Enjoy!
