Creamy cinnamon custard meets crisp, fresh EverCrisp® apples in this cozy fall dessert. Each apple is hollowed and filled with a creamy apple custard that chills into a perfectly silky bite. A caramelized sugar top adds a touch of warmth and crunch.

Ingredients

      • 3 EverCrisp ® apples
      • 2 cups heavy cream
      • ⅓ cup brown sugar
      • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
      • 1 tsp vanilla extract
      • ½ tsp salt
      • ¼ cup granulated sugar, for topping


    Directions

      1. Wash apples, then cut in half and scoop out the centers. Set scooped apple flesh aside.

      2. In a medium saucepan, combine heavy cream, brown sugar, cinnamon, vanilla, salt, and apple flesh. Bring to a low boil, stirring occasionally, about 10 minutes.
      3. Carefully pour the cream mixture into the hollowed apple halves and refrigerate for 4 hours, or until fully chilled and set.
      4. Sprinkle tops with sugar and use a blowtorch to caramelize until golden brown.
