Even though the name suggests this apple is fit for a fancy ball, Gala is actually a great choice for simple snacking, salads, and juicing. The thin skin is yellow to orange in color, and the flesh is a crisp and creamy light yellow. Its mild, vanilla-y flavor appeals to even the pickiest of eaters.

The best way to keep apples fresh? Take them out of the box, wash and thoroughly dry them, then refrigerate! Apples will last 6-8 weeks when refrigerated and 5-7 days when left on the counter.
